Birth Injury Seizure Lawyers Reviewing Cases

Medical mistakes at the time of birth may cause children to suffer several injuries that later result in the development of seizures, including cerebral palsy or other birth trauma. Recognizing the signs and symptoms of seizures may help medical providers identify that an underlying injury was experienced by your child.

Signs or symptoms of a seizure may include:

  • eyes rolling upward or fluttering
  • stiffening of the body
  • movements of the tongue, lip smacking or excessive sucking
  • uncontrolled jerking movements or body twitching
  • staring spells or periods of unresponsiveness

Seizures are often seen in infants with a brain injury such as Cerebral Palsy.  At the time of birth, a medical mistake may result in a lack of oxygen to the brain or a trauma to the baby, resulting in cerebral palsy or another birth injury.

The lawyers at Saiontz & Kirk, P.A. provide free consultations for families of children diagnosed with cerebral palsy or another seizure-causing birth injury, to help determine whether financial benefits may be available for your child as a result of a medical mistake before, during or after delivery.
