Plavix lawsuit filed in New Jersey
On October 30, 2006, one of the first Plavix lawsuits was filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. The complaint was filed by Miller and Associates, who Saiontz and Kirk have worked with as co-counsel on several cases.
The Plavix lawsuit was filed on behalf of Dorothy and Thomas Hall, who reside in Bonita Springs, Florida. Mrs. Hall suffered two strokes while taking Plavix for just over two years. The complaint was filed against Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and Sanofi-Aventis, the manufacturers of the medication.
Saiontz & Kirk recently announced that Plavix lawsuits are being investigated by our product liability lawyers for users who suffered a heart attack, stroke, internal bleeding, blood disorders or death.

At the time that Plavix was developed, the manufacturers knew that the risk associated with their medication outweighed the potential benefits. Despite their knowledge regarding the Plavix dangers, they made false promotional statements regarding the safety of the blood thinner which directly contradicted their own studies. These statements were designed to increase sales without consideration for the safety of patients.

I have drug coated stents and am on plavix. I have been in the hospital twice this year with bleeding ulcers….the first time I had to have two units of blood. So far no one will tell me to go off the plavix….
i have been on plavix for 6 months when do you think. should i get off it the doctor thinks i should take it all the time should i just gradually take half of it i am also on a aspirin too will the aspirin do the job just as well
i do not smoke or drink either i personally think the doctor operated wrong, he put a stint in both my legs and now they hurt , before i never had pain in the upper leg area.
Anything happening with the plavix lawsuits? It’s sad that the makers of the stent are not being held accountable.
took plavix for 2 yrs. along with asprin, wound upin the hospital bleeding internally, lost 2 pts. of blood, could have died!!
I’m only on asprin now, you couldn’t pay me to take that crap!!!!!!!!!
My mom died in 2003, she was on Plavix for a year or longer. She was found on the floor, and rushed to the hospital. For having severe bleeding ulcer did surgery on her the first time and that didn’t work, she lost 22 units of blood in 18 hours. She died 2 weeks later, organs failing and Pulmonary edema.
