Subsequently, I have another hernia just above the mesh and had to have a third surgery in Nov 07. I am having swelling, and pain in my abdomin, and I cannot sit or stand for long periods. My doctor told me to wait and see...he thinks it may be the plastic stitches used but this is ridiculous. My hernia(s) were around my bellybutton and that is where the mesh was inserted.
