MRI/MRA Contrast Causes Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis

Individuals with kidney problems could develope a painful and serious disorder as a side effect of gadolinium contrast agents which may be administered for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or magnetic resonance angiography (MRA).  The lawyers at Saiontz, Kirk & Miles, P.A. are reviewing lawsuits for individuals diagnosed with Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NFS), also known as Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermopathy (NFD).    The only known cause for this rare disease is the MRI/MRA contrast.

>>INFORMATION: Gadolinium Lawsuits

Symptoms of NSF/NFD involve the formation of areas of hard and thick skin which could restrict movement of the joints.  In many cases, those diagnosed with the disorder become dependent on a wheelchair within weeks of onset.  Fibrosis, or scarring, can also form on other internal organs.  There is currently no known Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis treatment options which are consistently successful and in some cases the disorder leads to death.

If you, a friend or family member have been diagnosed with Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis/Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermopathy, compensation may be available.  Request a free gadolinium lawsuit consultation.

I have had two ct scans since being diagnosed with bladder cancer.Since my surgery to remove a tumor and burn 4 other spots,I have complained of pain in my lower left side,I sometimes feel very warm, but my temperature is o.k.,normal,and I feel weak, like I may pass out.I do sweat alot and in general just don’t feel well.I have been to my PCP and he has told me he has no idea what is going on,my white blood count is elevated slightly, and in recent blood tests goes up a little more each time.Prior to finding the tumor in my bladder, which was found to be malignant, the tests and xrays, which included a dye, concluded my liver and kidney function were normal.I have an appointment with a VA doctor since I want another opinion in the next week.
