One day I was preparing lunch and to keep an eye on my 6 month old baby i put her in a bumbo chair on top of the island counter… and after 10 seconds of busy lunch preparation, while keeping an eye on her wobbling around in the bumbo chair, i nearly freaked out because she seemed to almost be able to shift the chair! then i realized i had to put her on the floor where she can wobble around more safely… that’s the last time i ever put her on a raised surface!

Is common sense dead? Why would anyone leave their child unattended in one of these on an elevated surface. I used a Bumbo and LOVED it. I found them very useful. Anything can be a deathtrap if used inappropriately. As for the advertising, notice the child is not alone, an adult is standing right next to them.

Who in their right mind would think it was ok to leave a child on a table in this seat even if the package shows a parent useing it on a table?

I don’t know if they can be returned. I would like to know that too. I have one that I don’t use because my 6 month old flipped out of it while in it on out tile floor. thank Gid that she wasn’t injured but it scared me and I knew before the recall that the product is not safe. I no longer have the packaging that it came in but I would like a refund. I also purchased the tray that attaches to the Bumbo and would like to return that too.
