jennifer,I took seroquel for 1 year, and got very sick! I've had numerous pancreatitis attacks of one, I had toxic shock and almost died.I gained extreme amounts of weight and now I have type 2 diabetes! seroquel made me feel like a junkie for food! diabetes is one thing I can live with, but pancreatitis is {not} one of lifes pain that I can not endure!

i started taking seroquel 4 years ago and soon after beginning seroquel use I started suffering accute pancreatittis attcks. I've now had at least 8 maybe 10 accute pancreatitis attacks and my pancreas is now compltely disfunctional and I have to take creon just to be able to eat. I just saw a tv add about this two days ago and immediately called my prescribing physician who wasn't even aware of the pancreatic/diabetes side effects.

I have been taking Seroquel for the past five (5) years. My current dose is 50mg/AM and 400mg/PM.
I noticed movement problems withing 6 months of being on the medication. I reported what I can best describe as body fluttering. I also reported that my scalp moves frequently. My reports were always attributed to some other ailment. The movement problems have become worse. At first is was the right side of my body--jerking limbs and difficulty grasping with my hand. I thought I was in the early stages of Parkinson's disease. Overtime, the body jerking now affects my entire body. Determined to obtain a diagnosis, I carefully reviwed the side effects of all of my medications. This review lead me to Seroquel. I am relieved about Parkinson's even though I am not comfortable with Tardia...
I am do not want to discontinue the Seroquel do to its effectiveness. My pronosis is ????able

I took 100 mg of Seroquel beginning April 2003, and stop taking it April 2004. By December 2004, i was diagnois with type II diabetes. I had no idea I was sick until I couldnt hold down water. I went to the local emergency room, and my sugar was 881 and i lost eye sight. I had perfect vision before. I been taking inslin needles every since. I still suffer with not sleeping well, but couldnt a single doctor pay me to take Seroquel. I dont take anything to help me sleep now.

My doctor just put me on seroquel and I really dont want to take it. I have just lost 45Lbs it took me 10 months to take it off. I have been suffering from depression that goes back to my fathers susicide when I was 18, now I am 41 and never have got conceling for it. I just started taking cymbalta 60mg bid and I just do not want to add another drug to that. I have A lot of medical problems, from a tumor in my tummy to fibermyalgia, also last January I had plates and fusion in my neck 4,5,and 6th. I also do not have A spleen I ruptured that in 2nd grade andhad it removed with 2 blood transfusions. I am married with A 5yo and A 3yo and A 21yo attending Bowling Green State UV. What is your opinion should I take this medication? The doseage is 100mg every night. Thankyou for your time, Anita.
