Now I know why I been so sick.. I had a puff rice with that info and a
malt to meal as well.. since I didnt eat it but every other day didnt put it
together as why I was throwing up and had disentary off and on..Its my
favorite ceral and now I m afraid to eat it.. What is the company doing for us people who got ill from this..Should at least give us coupons to
make up for the losses of having to throw this away.. and for the illness
we all had..

I have recently purchased valu time puffed rice and always put it in a plastic container to keep it fresh. I noticed from the last two bags that it had a musty, stale smell to it. The first bag I ate but the new bag I opened it and smelled it and the same odor. The date is Nov 20 09 S4. Why does it have this odor. Is it safe to eat. I did not feel good after eating the other bag and when I noticed the odor I stopped.

My Mother called Malt O Meal today and was told that they are no longer manufacturing it. We like to make Puffed Rice balls instead of Popcorn balls for treats. Nothing sticking in between your teeth and it is healthy except of course for the sugar. We have one bag left in our house and today we are treating it like it is greater than gold. Sad day not to get puffed rice!!!
