I had shoulder surgery for a subacromial decompression. I had a pain pum and 3 months after that my rotator cuff tore and my bicepts tendon detatched from the bone.I have had 2 more surgeries and I am in a lot of pain. I have a lawyer for this pain pump but they are not telling me anything. Has anyone ever got a settlement of any kind?I have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis due to all the trauma of the 3 surgeries and the pain pump.

Information about these pumps should be shared by the doctor with the patient. The patient should be given the option of having the pain pump or not. Im my case it seems like they are using the pain pump to get me back on the job as soon as possible without much thought or caring about my best interest and long term health

I just heard of this the other day my husband has had 2 shoulder surgeries because he hurt it on the job. Is on workmans compensation and after having these surgeries was given each time the pump how come the doctors are not aware of this? My husband was not given any option of using the pump or taking oral pain pills after surgery. His arm is worse now then it was before the first surgery.

I have had both shoulders reparied. The left shoulder froze-up and had to be broken loose. The right shoulder also froze-up and I choose not to have it broken loose. I have had several corodozone shots and prednozone pills. I still have pain,grinding,popping and limited motion.I feel the Pain pump was the problem

I had shoulder surgery March of 2007 and they instaled a pain pump. Months after the surgery my shoulder in in more pain and with a loss of movement. I can’t swing a golf club…it sucks.

Had two open surgery on my shoulder that I had pain pumps. I still have pain

I had surgery for impingement and a torn rotator cuff in December of 06. In August of 07 I began having problems like constant pain, clicking and grinding. My doctor said that it was normal and gave me a cortizone injection. That worked for awhile but over the last 6 months the pain has returned and the cracking and grinding is worse then ever.

I had Major Reconstructive Rotator Cuff Surgery May 1st of 2008. Was given the Pain Pump.
Now my shoulder is far WORSE than before the surgery!
