My son has had ongoing problems ever since he had hernia surgery last year (2007). We have been to the ER twice in the last six months. He is only 23 years old, is in constant pain and fatigued. He has become extremely depressed over his situation because each and every doctor keeps telling him everything is fine. He has difficulty urinating, has onging tenderness and pain (1-10 he says 8 most of the time), and has lost alot of weight. I think he had the Kugel mesh, but not positive as he was living out of the area at the time.
