My father was perscribed this medication on june,12,2008 the 30mg one, he past away on june,17,2008, #1 cause of death, Over dose of Morphine, His pills where at least 3 to 4 times the does they should have been. We did not recive a recal letter from ethex or his pharm about his medication untill september,24,2008., I am the youngest of 8 siblings and i have put my all into getting justice fo my father, Im sorrybut is it that easy for you (jim) to jus brush this off like no big deal that its normal and ok for big drug manufactors to just make mistakes and take the lives of people, maybe when the shoes on the other foot you will see things from a diff light, Im sorry for you to see things like this as normal everyday life…

I was percribed this very drug by this very company. I was also given a batch that was recalled it was msir (instant release morphine) 30mg, they messed up and put double the dose in. As consumers we have to be responsible, these drugs HELP many many more people than they hurt. No company is perfect, they make thousands of pills a day of course an unfortunate mistake will happen. It happens with almost every drug at some point. I am sorry for those who lost someone but you cant blame morphine or ethex corp. Remember everyone had the choice to take the medication or not and were explained the risked at least twice, the doctor and the pharmacy. to anyone who says they woulent take the drug because of this do you remember in the early 80′s the tylenol capsules with Cynide in them. they never figured out what hapened to this day, yet i’m sure most of you still take tylenol. also double the dose in an opiate tolerent person is usually barley noticable in effect. for it to kill them they would have noticed it was too strong and then shouldent have taken any more and called the doctor if the patient cant even tell then its certainly not very probable it would kill them with repeat dosing, even at double strenght. stop running to the lawyers when something happens its called life.

I went through an overdose from Morphine 60′s. I could not breathe, my heart raced and i ended up in jail! I am an upstanding citizen but now my reputation is damaged. I did not know what caused this until I recieved a letter from my pharmacy.

I Just Got Off the morf 60s last month but the other doc at the clinic wants to put me back on them I have an app. today I told the reg. doc I thought yhe morf 60s were turning on me.

We just had a very close friend pass away at my home because of this drug!!! He passed on 1-1-10 after a great night with usa and his daughter now she lost her daddy and for what!? please look at all your meds and dont take this drug!!!! Its not worth your life no matter what!

my god daughter’s step dad has just committed suicide becase he was off his tits on morphine. He had taken the drug before and had never presented depressed or suicidal. There can be no other cause for his unpradictable behaviour other than he was so high and out of reality and control. Morphine can help with physical pain but should never be used for R&R.

My sister was one of these people that this drug caused her death. PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS MEDICATION ! She was taken from her family on June 6, 2008.

What abuot those of us who were unable to get our refills and ended up getting very, VERY sick. I was unable to get a substitute drug. New NO ONE in this city…just moved here. I became VERY ill and nearly went to the ER.
