I have worked at an extendicare facility but quit yesterday because of the reason that they admit any acuity level of patient without the proper staff, and/or training needed to proprerly monitor and care for pt it was the hardest thing I ever did. I feared a tragedy happening with pt care.For example the keep suicidal pt without properly trained staff or enough staff to observed them all other facility I’ve worked with when res. threatened suicide they were automatically sent in for psych eval.One pt od @ this particular facility.

my mother was in one faciity recently and seriously injured and has not recovered from this.

I also worded as a residents director and refused to cut staffing and was fired because of it.

I have worked as a Resident Director of Extendicare’s sister company Assisted Living Concepts. I have a lot to share. So do my colleges. I have they’re word tht they would be more then willing to speak with you. I can validate claims that are made against this company.
