I had a total hip replacement and the component fracturered in the femur STEM - not the component. Legal has advised me that Wright is FDA approved and protected. Victims such as myself have no recourse when injured as a result of using one of these implants. You think FDA approved would make you confident in using the produce - CONSUMER BEWARE. Please contact your local representatives and demand that they support the MEDICAL DEVICE SAFETY DEVICE ACT BILL. Of course this bill is on the back burner as our government officials try to fix the health care system. Let's start with making medical manufacturers of devices liable. The pursuit of profits by big Pharma is revealing it to be fraud ridden and downright criminal. With some victories of late with large Punitives it may stir more remorse. The only way to attack is to sue and sue. The board of directors will see the light only when the bottom line is affected. My concern is that with Prempro and Premarin, the companies are simply trying to delay and hope most of the 10K claimants will die. Mary, you are so right.
