Had the hip put in Dec. of 01 had alot of issues at the start was told its o.k. Now I sit in pain every day when this was to fix my pain. Why? I felt as if my doctor pushed the hip on me and was left with no choice. Now Im going on ten years and dont know where to start.

I had a right knee replacement - Duprey - in April of 2010. It got better for awhile, but now almost a year later, the pain is worse than before the surgery, causing discomfort in other areas. My Dr.said there is no infection and that the x-rays look good. I'm miserable and don't know where to go from here.

Ihad a knee replacement in April 20089. After 6 mo. therapy monthly vivits etc. I could not get an answer from my doc. Saw another doc. he said the top of the knee looked too large for hte bottom of the knee. The device loosened in the top and bottom. He said the only recourse was to remove the device. The knee is doing much better have some pain related to weather as well as activity. How does one know the problem of the mismatched top and bottom components.

3 years ago, I had a total knee replacement (DePuy18886272677) about a year ago, I started falling. No tripping hazards required, I would be walking across an open floor and fall down. The 1st of July, I fell (3rd time in a week), while walking my dog... the dog had nothing to do with the fall. I was walking on level asphalt at the time. Anyway, either that time or a previous fall I broke my ankle. I finally saw a replacement revision specialist, and he said my falls are most likely caused by the knee failing and causing balance instability.

Now not only have I had to endure this broken ankle for 6 months, I had to have surgery on it and have a screw put in to pull things together... I also have to have my knee revised and get to wait until the ankle heals before I can do that.

Is anyone else have similar problems with this knee component?

I had a DuPuy knee replacement 10/09. Immediate pain in back, hip and knee when I regained consciousness. Cannot fully extend leg; cannot walk down steps properly. Cannot stand or walk any length of time. Lidoderm pain patches have been my best friend. No other prescriptions have worked. I had a manipulation performed to straighten leg; didn't help at all. Dr. had me stop therapy because it was doing more harm than good. Walk like Chester on Gunsmoke most of the time. Who is responsible for our pain and restrictions, Doctors, hospitals, manufacture? I am ready to sue how about you?

Had total r-hip 1/15/04 Biomet M2a 38mm Medal on medal , again on 8/18/05 because the cup came loose and rotated 90 degrees toward the ingrowing , Biomet made a custom prosthesis but during the operation they find out it would not fit so they put in a 70mm cup, they told me it took 5hrs.......I bet Mary Lou Reton got a better deal from Biomt
