The product liability lawyers at Saiontz & Kirk, P.A. are evaluating whether compensation may be available through an Effient lawsuit for individuals diagnosed with new cancers or worsening solid tumors after using the relatively new blood thinner. Experts have expressed concern that Effient side effects may increase the relative risk of certain cancers.

According to an analysis published in the Archives of Internal Medicine in June 2010, Effient may promote tumor growth when compared to the competing blood thinner Plavix. Researchers looked at data from a clinical trial that was used to gain FDA approval for the blood thinner, known as TRITON-TIMI 38.

It appears that Eli Lilly & Co., the manufacturer of Effient, may have failed to adequately evaluate the risk of cancer from Effient or warn about the potential side effects.

The Effient lawyers at Saiontz & Kirk, P.A. are evaluating the potential for lawsuits over cancer from Effient. All cases are being reviewed on a contingency fee basis, which means that there are no fees or expenses unless a recovery is obtained.

My father has been on Effient for a couple months now after having a stint put in. He is in his sixties. My father was suddenly hopisitalzed, suffering from heavy breathing, his condition got worse and in the hospital they discovered 5 legions in his brain. He has recently put on a lot of weight abnormally, his speech is slurred, and one eye looks different from the other. Doctors have ruled out stroke and are currently running test. He is about to take a PET SCAN and we are still waiting on a diagnosis.

After suffering a heart attack and having stents put in August 2012 I was administered effient, 2months later October 2012, I suffered an acute subdural hematoma, spending 21 days in ICU and I am still to this day in recovery. If I would have been made aware of the risks, I would have definitely refused to take effient.

I had a stent put in my heart, was put on Effient. I ended up in the hospital 2 months later bleeding internally. While in the hospital they took me off Effient, I stopped bleeding. I was told I had to go back on it. Ended up back in the hospital bleeding again. I told my Dr it had to be the medicine, She said I can’t go off of it. Ended up having surgery to find the bleed, took myself off the medicine have not had a bleed since

Aug 24, 2016 had stent in LAD, was placed on Effient. TWO days later, Aug 26 , rushed to hospital diagnosed with Pontine Hemmorage — bleeding in the Pons area. A year later still suffering deficiencies: multiple eye deficiencies–constant jumping eye, double vision, no lateral gaze, and cannot close left eye; as well as left facial palsy, and right side hemiparesis.
