According to new research, children and young adults who suffer a traumatic brain injury may face a substantially higher risk of epilepsy, even more than 10 years after their head injury. Nursing Home Pressure Ulcers Occurred in 11% of Residents in 2004
According to a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 11% of nursing home residents suffered from pressure ulcers in 2004. These painful and potentially life-threatening sores remain a serious problem at facilities throughout the country, and in many cases nursing home pressure sores can be prevented if certain steps are taken.

Yamaha Rhino Attorneys to Argue for Consolidation of Lawsuits This Week
Tomorrow, the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation will hear oral arguments from Yamaha Rhino attorneys on whether to consolidate and centralize all federal lawsuits filed on behalf of individuals who suffered serious injuries in a Rhino ATV rollover accident. If granted, an MDL, or Multidistrict Litigation, will be formed to coordinate all federal cases during pre-trial litigation.

Taser Deaths Lead to Call to Limit Police Use
While Taser International claims that their popular stun guns, which are used by many law enforcement agencies throughout the country, are safe and deliver a non-lethal shock, at least 334 people in the United States have died since 2001 after being shocked by a Taser gun. Amnesty International has released a detailed report on the safety of Tasers, calling for the government to limit their deployment or suspend their use.
U.S. CPSC is Investigating Yamaha Rhino ATVs Following Over 30 Deaths
According to an article in the Wall Street Journal today, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (U.S. CPSC) has finally begun investigating the safety issues with the Yamaha Rhino ATV after over 30 deaths have been caused by the side-by-side rolling over.

Yamaha Rhino ATV Accident Claims Two More Lives
There was yet another fatal Yamaha Rhino ATV accident over the weekend, this time resulting in the deaths of two 11 year-old girls. While many people continue to believe that most of these Rhino accidents are the fault of the operator (or in this case the parents), it is not that simple.
