Fentanyl is a powerful opiate which works by blocking the pain receptors in the brain. It is sold in several different forms for management of severe and chronic pain. However, if excessive amounts of fentanyl enter the body, there is a serious risk of overdose or death.
Fentanyl lawsuits are being reviewed by the product liability lawyers at Saiontz, Kirk & Miles, P.A. for users of the Duragesic Fentanyl Patch, Actiq Fentanyl Lollipop and Fentora Fentanyl Tablets. The pain medications have been linked to cases of overdose and death as a result of the manufacturers failure to provide adequate warnings and dosing instructioons.
If a friend or family has suffered an overdose or death after using one of the following products, financial compensation may be available.

DURAGESIC FENTANYL PATCH LAWSUITS
The Duragesic Fentanyl Patch delivers the medication in the form of a gel which enters the body through the skin. It is designed to slowly release the fentanyl gel through a membrane on the sticky side of the patch. Defectively designed and manufactured patches have been responsible for hundreds of deaths and unintentional overdoses after the gel leaked out onto the skin or entered the body too quickly.
The manufacturer negligently designed the patch and has failed to properly warn users about the risks associated with the product. Duragesic Fentanyl Patch lawsuits are being reviewed nationwide for users who experienced serious injury or death from fentanyl overdose.

ACTIQ FENTANYL LOLLIPOP LAWSUITS
Actiq is a pain medication which delivers fentanyl on a candy-like lozenge on the end of stick. The fentanyl lozenge is then sucked on, delivering the powerful pain medication to the body. Although Actiq Fentanyl Pops were only approved for treatment of severe pain in cancer patients which could not be managed by other medications, aggressive marketing and over-promotion resulted in widespread off-label use.
Actiq lollipops have caused fentanyl overdose and death for users throughout the United States. Lawsuits are being reviewed for those who have overdosed or died as a result of the Actiq pain medication lollipop.

FENTORA FENTANYL TABLETS LAWSUIT
Fentora is a tablet form of fetanyl. It is a newer drug seen as a successor to Actiq, but it delivers higher levels of fentanyl to the blood. It has been associated with an alarming number of deaths caused by fentanyl overdose. As a result of negligent marketing, warnings and dosing instructions, many have received the drug "off-label" and at doses which could result in an overdose.
Fentora lawsuits are being reviewed throughout the United States on behalf of users who suffered a fentanyl death caused by overdose after using the tablets to control non-cancer pain.
