Ambien is an anti-insomnia medication prescribed to assist with sleeping through the night. However, many users have experienced serious injuries as a result of falling asleep when they did not intend to, sleep walking, sleep eating and memory loss.
AMBIEN MEDICATION INFORMATION
Ambien is manufactured and sold by Sanofi-Aventis, and has been heavily marketed through direct advertisements to consumers. Sanofi-Aventis is a French pharmaceutical company which is the third largest drug maker in the world.
Ambien has been on the market for 13 years. Currently it is the 14th most prescribed medication in the United States and was prescribed over 26 million times during 2005. Sales of over $2 billion dollars are generated each year by the sleep medication.

Following several months investigating and reviewing potential Ambien lawsuits, Saiontz & Kirk has determined that there is not sufficient evidence or expert opinions to move forward with claims through the court system.
The potential for Ambien lawsuits will continue to be monitored in the future, but no further individual claims are being reviewed on behalf of users injured after taking the medication.
