SEROQUEL SIDE EFFECTS
Seroquel (generic quetiapine fumarate), is an atypical antipsychotic medication manufactured by AstraZenica. The drug was approved in 1997 for treatment of schizophrenia, but additional off-label uses are to treat anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, dementia and autism.
Studies have indicated that Seroquil side effects cause an increased risk of hyperglycemia and diabetes. Of all of the drugs which are part of the class of drug known as atypical antipsychotics, the seroquel diabetes risk was found to be the highest. Despite these risks, AstraZeneca allegedly failed to provide adequate warnings and heavily marketed the medication for uses which were not approved by the FDA.
The lawyers at Saiontz & Kirk, P.A. represent individuals throughout the United States who are pursuing Seroquel lawsuits. New claims are no longer being accepted for investigation by this law firm.
